There’s plenty to do in Hutchinson

Strataca: Ride 650-feet below the surface in an elevator and explore the salt mines that are among the largest in the world. There are several other attractions onsite as well, including a museum.

Cosmosphere: The space museum has several unique galleries and exhibits, including galleries that examine the Cold War and Apollo mission. The Cosmosphere has a theater and planetarium, too.

Reno County Museum: This museum collects and displays artifacts related to the history of Reno County, including an iron jail.

Hutchinson Zoo: The zoo has tons of educational programs and special events to go along with the incredible animals who call the zoo home.

Dillon Nature Center: Perfect for outdoor lovers, the nature center contains a 100-acre arboretum, 300 acres of woody plants, 200 species of bird, walking trails, and fishing spots.

Sand Hills State Park: This 1,123-acre park is great for camping. There are also trails for hiking and horseback riding.
