Toyota has been a partner of the International Olympic and Paralympic Committees for eight years now, and with its shift to becoming a mobility company, Toyota is rolling out its very first global marketing campaign. The campaign will air in 27 countries throughout the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. Taking place until February 25, the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games are already underway, and Toyota’s “Start Your Impossible” campaign has reached millions through the games.
With seven ads running, Toyota’s campaign celebrates the history of the games, the indomitability of the human spirit, the importance of safety, and much more.
These advertisements not only showcase why Toyota is the perfect partner for the Winter Olympics but also how these similarities and this partnership are so important to people all around the world. Toyota’s Guardian technology, for example, is spotlighted in an ad called “Dreams,” which shows how taking safety precautions can save both the lives of drivers and the livelihoods of athletes.
Toyota officials say that the campaign is meant to connect both employees and customers with the company’s “core beliefs,” which center on creating a more inclusive and sustainable society.
