The Toyota RAV4 has long been a popular choice among adventure-seeking drivers. Now, it’s getting even more exciting with the addition of the RAV4 Prime. This plug-in hybrid model will be the most powerful and quickest RAV4 ever produced, while also being the most fuel efficient.
Toyota recently debuted this new model at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Toyota RAV4 Prime features a 302-horsepower powertrain and is the first-ever RAV4 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. It’s projected to boast a 0-60 mph speed of 5.8 seconds, giving it the second fastest acceleration time in the Toyota lineup. When fully charged, the RAV4 Prime offers an estimated 39 miles of electric-only driving and delivers a Toyota-estimated 90 MPGe combined.
Engineers designed the Toyota RAV4 Prime for performance-oriented drivers, which is why it is available in the sportier SE and XSE trim levels. The RAV4 Prime comes with 18-inch machined alloy wheels and a unique front grille design and lower front spoiler. To complete the premium look, it also features black exterior accents and a painted grille.
The RAV4 Prime will be part of the 2021 model year and will be available at Midwest Toyota and other dealerships across the country starting this summer.
